Tutors

Matthias Bajzek

Dr.-techn. Dipl.-Ing. Matthias Bajzek

Matthias brings a unique combination of academic excellence and hands-on innovation to Mindary. He holds a BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering, and earned his PhD from Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) with a specialization in Systems Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and Digital Engineering. Complementing his core studies, he also pursued coursework in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Software Engineering.

During his time at TU Graz, Matthias authored over 30 publications on topics including system modeling, MBSE, descriptive functions, and the integration of AI into engineering workflows. He also designed and led forward-thinking courses like "Project Mechatronic Systems", where students worked in small teams to develop integrated mechatronic prototypes — bridging mechanics, electronics, and software through the lens of systems engineering, MBSE, and product lifecycle management (PLM).

Alongside his academic work, Matthias spent several years in the automotive industry, managing research and customer projects in the field of systems engineering — bringing theory into practice at scale.

  • Deep expertise in systems engineering, MBSE, ALM, and PLM
  • Strong academic insights combined with real‑world applications
  • Passion for teaching and empowering students through practical, project‑based learning
Philipp Kranabitl

Dipl.-Ing. Philipp Kranabitl

Philipp combines a strong academic foundation in mechanical engineering with deep expertise in verification, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and the alignment of suitable methods for mechatronic product development. He earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Graz University of Technology (TU Graz), where he is currently completing his dissertation focusing on verification methodologies, MBSE, and the integration of structured development approaches into complex engineering processes.

With several years of experience in industry, Philipp worked extensively in process modeling, systems integration, and methodological development for mechatronic systems — bridging the gap between theory and practice. He understands and focuses on the challenges of aligning engineering methods with product and organizational needs, especially in fast-paced development environments.

For over six years, Philipp has taught at TU Graz, delivering courses on machine elements, product lifecycle management (PLM), mechatronic product development, and decision making in engineering. His teaching emphasizes systems thinking, practical application, and critical decision processes in engineering projects. Through seminars, hands-on workshops, and academic courses, he empowers students and professionals alike to think holistically and work methodically.

As Managing Director of Antemia GmbH, Philipp leads projects and trainings that help organizations master the complexity of modern engineering — through MBSE and PLM with the right verification strategies, and a strong focus on the human factor as a driving force in system development.

  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering with a research focus on MBSE and verification
  • Experienced lecturer in product development, PLM, and engineering decision making
  • Proven track record in leading workshops and aligning methods in mechatronic development
